Drawing and Bending Jigs
A multi-step process can often feel overwhelming for some of the artists I work with, while others try to do everything at once, which can lead them to overlook important details. To make this journey easier, I’ve designed a unique jig for each step. For instance, the drawing jig is specifically made for marking ornaments with the drawing tool. The addition of googly eyes on the jig serves a practical purpose; they indicate direction and provide a three-dimensional perspective. This feature can help a helper ensure that the jig is positioned correctly, avoiding the piece facing the wrong way.
Additionally, I’ve created Sculpey forms that allows the artist to bend the clay over into the desired shape or to provide a simpler forms to copy.
