Visuals to Help with Spatial Reasoning

The visual spacing of elements can be challenging for the artists I work with, but here are two different visuals to assist. Most of my artists agree that cutting the clay into more manageable pieces reduces stress and allows them to work more effectively but for those who can work from a picture of a pattern can be beneficial.

For larger or uniquely shaped cookie cutters, it’s essential to cut the clay into more defined shapes and provide a visual that demonstrate how the cookie cutter fits. If an artist struggles with spatial reasoning, removing the site ques altogether, as shown on the next page, can be an effective solution.
